Ramon Maschio was born and raised in Buenos Aires, where he began his musical career at the age of 9. He currently lives in Granada, Spain. He is an acclaimed guitarist of tango and many other forms of popular music, and a regular accompanist for renowned Argentine and European artists. In addition, he is an accomplished composer, arranger and musical producer. With a professional career of more than 20 years, Ramón has performed in some of the most prestigious International concerts and festivals throughout Latin America and Europe:-Festival de Cosquín & Teatro Coliseo de Buenos Aires (Argentina), Festival Cervantino (Mexico), National Ópera de Lyon (France), Festival de Guitarra de Santo Tirso & Casa da Música do Porto, (Portugal) Teatro Nacional (Costa Rica), Royal Concertgebouw- (Amsterdam), etc.​As professor of music in the “Academia Nacional del Tango”, in Buenos Aires and the “Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda” EMPA, he pioneered the spread of popular music in Argentina. He also taught repertoire courses for singers, tango guitar and musical language.In addition to his work as a soloist, and teacher, he is director of the LATITUDE QUATRO World music quartet, four prominent instrumentalists from different countries, based in Lisbon. In Spain he directs the BAIRES TRÍO a chamber group dedicated to popular music of Río de la Plata.
